Hello!

My name is Laney Granito, and I am the President of the Beta Omicron chapter of Gamma Phi Beta at Oklahoma City University. Gamma Phi Beta is an international sorority based on our four core values Love, Labor, Learning, and Loyalty. Our mission is to build confident women of character who celebrate sisterhood and make a difference in the world around us, a mission we strive to achieve through inspiring the highest type of womanhood. As an organization, we work to make a difference in the world through our philanthropic focus, "Building Strong Girls." We in Gamma Phi Beta work alongside Girls on the Run and National Ovarian Cancer Coalition to continuously support strong girls, both young and old. We are incredibly passionate about our philanthropies since they provide an opportunity to empower, support, and acknowledge young women in need.

Being a woman in Gamma Phi Beta means to be a woman of strength, integrity, and grace. Our guiding principles are to promote respect, foster lifelong relationships, and inspire excellence in everything we do. Gamma Phi Beta has taught me invaluable lessons about leadership, responsibility, and confidence. This sisterhood is one of the most empowering organizations I have ever had the privilege to be a part of during my college career. Being a Gamma Phi Beta, I have continuously been encouraged, accepted, and inspired. As a sisterhood, we are constantly striving to mentor young girls and unite as young women. This organization motivates women to be confident in their abilities, to be leaders and mentors, active members of their community, advocates for change, and loyal friends.

At Oklahoma City University, our organization is made up of a diverse group of women who excel in many different areas: they are some of the most genuine, intelligent, and talented women I have ever met. Gamma Phi Beta's are passionate, caring, hard-working women with kind hearts and open minds. Throughout my years in Gamma Phi Beta, I have watched so many of my sisters learn and grow as a part of this organization. They have accomplished remarkable things in their personal lives as well as their professional careers. Gamma Phi Beta has personally provided me with countless life-long friendships, endless encouragement and support, and incredible opportunities for personal growth throughout my time in college. Without my time in Gamma Phi Beta, with my sisters being a constant support system, I would not be the woman I am today.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about our organization, Gamma Phi Beta! We cannot wait to welcome you into our home and to share the light of our sisterhood with you!

"I'm constantly learning, and that is the greatest gift of life, in my opinion—to always be learning and growing."
– Kristin Chenoweth, Gamma Phi Beta - Beta Omicron Alumna, 1990

Best wishes,
